John joined the Sportsman's Professional Staff in 2004 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University. In addition to his academic achievement at Western, John Enjoyed 4 successful years of NCAA Division-1 golf. His playing credentials include "1st Team All-Conference" honors as well being named the "Mid-Continent Conference Newcomer of the Year" in 2002. John was also recognized by Coach Mel Blasi with a Senior Leadership award for his efforts in 2004. He is very proud of his association with the Western Illinois golf program, and has built upon that experience by participating in IPGA Section Events. Since turning professional, John's competitive career has been highlighted by a win at Medinah C.C., as well as selection to the IPGA Royal Cup Team in 2008. Before joining the staff at Sportsman's, John worked several years of seasonal employment at Bittersweet G.C. in Gurnee, IL. His experience at Bittersweet included both golf shop and driving range supervision, along with guest-services and outing operations. Now in his 7thth season with the Northbrook Park District, John is proud to call Sportsman's C.C. his home. John resides in Gurnee, IL with his wife Robin and their children Camden and Gabrielle.
