Mark's previous positions formed a strong base for his current management philosophy. Prior to Sportsman's Country Club, he was the General Manager and Head Golf Professional for three years at Glendale Lakes Golf Club in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Mark was the first assistant golf professional at Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago, Illinois for the first two seasons it was open, and he was the first assistant professional for five seasons at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, Illinois. His varied background also includes stints at Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California, Marriott's Rancho Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage, California, Palm Beach National Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, and St. Andrews Golf Club in West Chicago, Illinois.

Mark also founded the Northbrook Golf Academy at Sportsman's Country Club, one of the leading teaching programs in the Chicago area. His golf instruction philosophy is rooted in teaching the fundamentals of a proper golf game, and coaching students along the path to success. Notice it says golf game, not golf swing.
