Ever gone out on our course at Sportsman's and found out that you couldn't get your swing just right until you played the 4th or 5th hole? Well, you know what the problem was. Next time, be sure to start out by warming up on our practice range before you play. And of course, you'll want to stop by for a little extra ball-hitting in-between rounds as well. Sportsman's Country Club offers one of the most comprehensive practice facilities and learning centers in the entire Chicago  metropolitan area. Our driving range is lighted for evening use and is a golfer's haven. You can work on your shots from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. during golfing season.
Plenty of laser-measured targets provide the look, feel, and feedback that add better focus to your practice sessions. There are 33 stalls with mats to eliminate overcrowding. We also have future plans to build covered stalls and a second deck. Our threegenerous practice putting greens also provide you with ample opportunity to tune up that rusty short game, or you can visit the Short Game Center at Anetsberger Golf Course for a whole new experience. Regular yardage lengths on the nine holes at Anetsberger range from 95 to 190 yards, and new short tees have been added. These range from 60 to 120 yards and offer a great way for children or even the beginner adults to get started in the game of golf. And this course was renovated just a few years ago as well so it's in tip-top shape. We sell individual buckets of balls at Sportsman's but we also have great deals on passes that can save you money if you practice regularly.
Tokens for the ball machine dispenser can be purchased at the Golf Shop, for use when the Practice Range office is closed. Note that each token equates to a warm-up bucket size.
Sportsman's classic mini golf course was built in the early 1980s and remains one of the most popular spots around for kids of all ages. It's a perfect spot for youngsters' birthday parties!
